Art Classes

Art Class Information

Thank you for visiting my site and checking into my summer art classes! More information is provided here for your review, and if anything is fuzzy or if you have questions, please do not hesitate in contacting me.

I will be teaching art lessons three times a week, starting the third week of May on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Due to a family event, there will unfortunately not be any art classes the last week of May and the first week of June. But afterwards, classes will resume.

Please contact me to enroll your student by the first or second week of May!

 Goals

So what are the goals of this class? What will we be doing?
  • Learning or reviewing the basic techniques of drawing - sketching, shading, working with shapes, etc.
  • To understand and appreciate the math involved in art
  • Learning typography
  • Learning about the power of advertisement
  • Learning about the history of propaganda and persuasion in art
  • Learning origami and working with 3D art
  • Various lessons in photography
I predict this class to be cognitively challenging at times, as we will be tackling unique subjects and creating unique art. I would recommend this class to those in the 5th grade and above, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this class would be great for highschoolers as well, if they're interested.

When, Where, How

We will be meeting at the Gallatin Civic Center. As stated briefly earlier, classes will begin the third week of May, go on a two week hiatus, and then pick back up the second week of June.

  • Classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
  • Classes last 1 hour
  • Class fees are 50$ per student for the month, or 25$ every two weeks
  • The majority of the materials will be provided, but each student will be required to bring their own brushes and are encouraged to bring other supplies if needed
Again, if you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
